The
eleventh story of the first Kaeti story cycle, Kaeti & Company. When
Kerosina Books was formed to publish Kaeti & Company many of those
who helped finance the venture were given the opportunity to read the
manuscript. By mutual agreement with Keith Roberts the short story Kaeti's
Apocalypse and its linking material were removed from the book because it
was believed that the story was more science fictional in nature than the other
stories, which were fantasies. Rather than leave the piece languishing in the
author's bottom draw, the decision was taken to publish it in booklet form and
distribute it with the private and collector's editions of the book. Just 300
copies were printed, and although this was about 70 more than strictly
required, the booklet was never officially offered for sale as a separate
item.
